Zapier Integration in Agile CRM
We’re big fans of Zapier – as supporters of smart automation and new ways to improve productivity, how could we not be? Zapier is a way to connect practically all of the web apps you use. It lets you easily move and automatically share your data, plug information leaks, and automate otherwise tedious tasks.
Our new Zapier integration makes your Agile CRM data available across your web apps so that when something happens in Agile, the new data or tasks are automatically pushed to other apps, and visa versa.
The aim of Zapier is to keep all your apps in the loop. Our new Zapier integration lets you integrate Agile CRM with literally 100s of other apps. It’s more than just data sharing. Once you integrate Agile and Zapier, you can create specific actions to be performed in other apps (Twitter, Gmail, Trello, Box.net, Yammer, and tons more – the “Zapbook” is extensive!). You can trigger these actions when something happens in Agile, such as when a contact is created, a tag is added to a contact, or even when a deal milestone is changed. For example, you can have Box.net automatically create a new folder when you create a new deal in Agile.
The reverse is true as well, so you can also use Zapier to trigger automatic actions for Agile to perform when something happens in other apps, such as the creation of a new contact or deal. You can even automatically trigger the launching of campaigns within Agile. For example, you can automatically launch a promotional campaign in Agile when a new event is created in Eventbrite, or automatically create a new contact in Agile when you receive an email in your Gmail.
Zapier is exactly the type of app that keeps us excited about the future of online productivity in general and SaaS products in particular. Zapier opened their developer platform in an awesome way in January, and Agile’s open API has been making developers happy since we launched.
Access the Agile CRM Zapier Integration here. Sign up today and create your first ‘zap’ (a ‘zap’ in Zapier is a connection between two apps that automates time-consuming tasks). Since all apps on Zapier allow you to create your own ‘zaps’ using actions + triggers (kind of like a mini API), you can design any number of cross-app actions to fit the specific needs of your business.
For Zapier integration with Agile CRM, you will need a Zapier account and an Agile account. Don’t have a free CRM account with us yet? Sign up today.
UPDATE: Zapier announced the integration on the Zapier blog, along with some awesome ideas for “contact management automation” with Agile and Zapier.
